I planned to answer your question, so that's the future. I'm a future person. The past helps me to plan for the next day, but I still live for the present.

have you ever tried to explain to someone who has no religious leaning how you once truly believed that you could live forever and that now you are no longer a jw that certainty is gone, and how hard that is to deal with at times?.

the look of disbelief and pity that you get in return.. maybe thats partly why we need to talk so often to other xjw's.

whats been your experiences.. anglise

A friend needs some advice...

one of our close friends is on the verge of an almost inevitable confrontation with her dad re: her fading.

her family is very devoted to the wts, and she expects that she'll have only one shot at presenting her defense to him.

she has 5 issues in particular about which she feels very strongly (not necessarily in this order):.

Will it be an exercise in futility? Did we all leave for the same reasons? NO! We all have different approachs when confronting a person/s. For me, actions speak louder than words. Don't tell me you love me when you don't practice it, period.

With all the suggestions given I think your in the best position to handle your circumstance. Many factors come into play in situations of this nature. A suggestion, be patient and avoid rushing into uncharterd waters.

two high ranking watchtower officials admit to quite a lot in these official committee hansard documents.

if you are one of jehovah's witnesses, perhaps you would like to read how two senators take the watchtower officials apart piece by piece.

especially on the blood issue, several times the watchtower officials walk right into a wall.. the watchtower officials admit that the tax imposed by france could cripple the entire organization.

a few of us got together and wrote an anthology of xmas stories called tales of christmas.. i wrote a story about my first xmas after leaving the dubs.

Have you read the about the 'Trail of Tears?,' it's about the Cherokee Nation. President Andrew Jackson went against the order of Chief Justice John Marshal not to remove the Cherokees from their homeland, and this (AJ) man claimed to be christian. He had the Cherokee people (old women and men and children) walk hundreds of miles in the dead of winter to OKL. This is only one of the many stories of what happened to the protectors of this land.
